第一屆「臺灣國際茶碗節」預計將於2019年11月1日至17日展開，並舉辦以「茶碗」為主題的國際性聯展，邀請國內外73位陶藝家，共18個國家共襄盛舉，一覽來自世界各地的茶碗作品。國內外超過300件茶碗作品，還有「台灣茶碗茶席四季風情」動、靜態布置展。同時出版茶碗專書，舉辦大師講座、陶藝示範、茶席展演、手捏茶碗體驗課程，並帶領國外陶藝家至茶園參與製茶工藝、陶藝家工作室參訪，文化體驗活動，藉此推展文化外交。讓國內、外的陶藝家及陶藝愛好者能有更多交流機會，滾動文化經濟，創造新生活美學。
The inaugural Taiwan International Chawan Festival will be held this year from November 1 to 17. The seventeen-day event will be home to an international exhibition showcasing chawans by 73 ceramists from 18 different countries. Over 300 chawans from artists all around the world will be exhibited. There will also be a Four Seasons of Taiwan Chawan Tea Ceremony exhibit showcasing different tea settings with live demonstrations of ceremony rituals. During the festival, we will be publishing a book dedicated to chawans, as well as host a series of Master Seminars, pottery demonstrations, tea ceremony demonstrations, and chawan-pinching workshops. We will also take foreign ceramists on a cultural tour of tea farms and factories and ceramicist studios as a means of cultural diplomacy. We want to give local and international ceramic artists and aficionados more opportunities to get together and communicate with each other, which will, in turn, stimulate an economy of culture and create new aesthetics of living.
