I want to make the Shino chawan in my dreams.

Masaki Miyata collected many Shino pottery fragments to study historical facts in order to cre- ate the most authentic Shino glaze. When it came to actually firing, he changed the clay he used over a hundred times. Not to mention the mineral glaze. “In my mind, there is always the most perfect Shino chawan, and I hope to use my own hands to actually make it. This may be the pursuit of what the ancient Chinese called ‘the unity of knowledge and action’.”
