The path without goal
There is no doubt that ceramics humanize. We work with the most humble and aspiring to the sublime, but in this case the path does not lead to any goal. When you think you have achieved something, you realize that it is only a mirage, and that the results are not the goal, they are a means.
On the outside we work on the infinite balances between shape, color, texture, measurements... And on the inside we make the decision, patience, will, perseverance...
Over the years one realizes that one cannot choose where to go or where to start, although it is not very important either. What is vital, as in any other form of artistic creation, is to be able to listen, wait and enjoy what constantly appears and disappears.
Ceramics, if the awareness is not created that modeling clay is modeling man, is useless.
沒有目的的小路
無庸置疑，陶藝帶給我們人性。我們以最謙卑的心態創作，設定崇高的目標。但對陶藝來說這條路是沒有終點的。當你認為自己達成了某種成就，你會發現那只是一個假象，而產出的結果並非終點，是個過程。
外在的課題，是在外形、色澤、質地、尺寸等無限組合中找到平衡；而內在的課題，是抉擇、耐心、意志力、毅力。
歷在經過了這麼多年後，終會發現人沒辦法選擇要去哪裡或從哪裡開始。不過這也不是那麼重要。就如其他藝術創作方式一樣，最重要的是能夠傾聽、等待、享受那些不斷出現又消失的美好。
假如在為陶土塑形時沒有意識到也同時在形塑人格，那陶藝還有什麼用呢。
